► HOMETOWN: Brentwood, Essex
► CURRENT RESIDENCE: Brentwood, Essex
► FAMILY: Mother: Paula Dedross Father: Alfred Dedross
► HISTORY: Ellen spent most of her childhood in Brentwood raised by her loving parents as an only child, though not through the lack of trying on their part.
She always felt things were easier than what her friends had in regards to sharing things with their siblings, including parents affection. When she wasn't in school or chumming about with her mates she was going to the family record shop in London, one of her favourite things to do next to going to the seaside and the pier to play the penny arcades.
After finishing senior school at 16 years old she begged her Dad to let her work in the record shop lest she end up working in an office manacled to a desk all day. Much to her parents dismay they agreed, yet they were secretly happy that she had interest in the family business.
Sadness struck the family when Alfred took ill and passed away just before Ellen's 18th birthday. To ease the pain she spent more time working the shop and wrapped herself in the sounds of the music she grew up with, singing and dancing across the floor between the racks of records.
Refusing to leave her Mum to live alone she still lives with her and every day takes the train to London to tend to business.

► ROLE-PLAY EXAMPLE:
The rain pelted the already soaked pavement, droplets bounced up with vigor. She sighed as she watched the rain stream in at an angle, the kind of downpour that no matter how quick or slow your pace was you were getting soaked to the bone.
“Why did today have to be the day the car was in the shop?” she murmured to herself as she zipped up her blue spring jacket to the neck; thrust her hands in her pockets as she leaned on the door to open it. The door locked behind her as she stepped out into the elements and headed towards the bus stop. She was thankful it was sheltered but wished it was closer.
Her black shoes sloshed through the streaming puddles before her. She could feel her skin becoming damp as her once dry office clothes became increasingly wet. “I really wish I had a brolly right about now.” she thought as she winched at the feeling of her black dress pants as they plastered against her legs with each hastening stride. Her spring jacket was no match for the mini monsoon, its pale blue hue darkened with each bead of rain.
Finally, she reached the bus shelter. As she entered she removed her hands from her pockets and shook the excess water off her arms then raised her hands to her hair and smoothed out her dark locks as best as she could. Her carefully straightened tresses were now matted against her head just as sopping wet as the rest of her. She looked down at her purse and pulled a face, yet another water absorbing accessory, the thought of her cards and money being that damp made her cringe. She unzipped her bag, her long pale fingers fished around inside for her change purse she pulled it out and unclipped the latch and pulled out of the small black beaded purse a few coins for the bus. With one fluid movement she dropped the purse bag in her back and zipped it up.
She poked her head out of the shelters doorway and squinted as she looked up the road hopeful for a bus soon; her attention was distracted by the sound of a car horn. She looked around to see where the car was that sounded off, shrugged and then turned her eyes back to where a bus should be coming from. The sound of the car horn blared through the air again cutting through the noise of the rain dancing off everything around her. This time when she looked across the road from her somewhat dry shelter there sat a lime green hatchback with tinted windows, the driver’s side window slid gracefully down and presented a clean shaven face that seemed familiar. The man that sat behind the wheel was dressed in a rain splattered yet crisp white dress shirt and pin stripe blue tie. Who was he? Keeping his arm in the car he waved her over and yelled out, “Do you need a ride home?”
She looked both ways before she stepped back out into the shower and crossed the empty road towards the car. An overwhelming sense of guilt swept over her as she didn’t recognize the occupant of the vehicle. “I’m really sorry”, she managed to get out as she gazed into a dark set of brown eyes, “I – I don’t think we’ve met.”
She watched as the expression on his sun kissed face turned from awkward happy smiles to a sudden cover of dejected disappointment. He cleared his throat. “We – err-.“ he cleared his throat again and rubbed the back of his tanned neck, “We work together.”
