Priscilla Wagner. Of course, she knew her own name, but she wasn't expecting other people to know who she was. The 18 year old had barely begun in life, and already there were eyes, and people who knew exactly who she was. Possibly that was the outcome of dating the King of rock and roll. Although it didn't seem like they were much of anything any more. He was always out, hardly ever coming to Graceland, filming new movies, traveling with his manager, attempting to save his music before the writers tore it to shreds. Then there was young Priscilla, perfectly content sitting at Graceland all alone.
Her father had a few choice words he'd like to say to Elvis, but she wasn't about to let that go to him. She knew he wasn't about to settle down, and the spritely 18 year old wasn't either.
The weeks of being alone had finally got to the young miss. So she packed up a suitcase, a sturdy can of hairspray, and just enough money to spend a few days happily by herself. Of course, she was by herself enough, but happy? Well, that was another story.
As it was, Priscilla sat on a bench near the water's edge. The sun was just beginning to set as she turned slightly to the side to catch a glimpse of the large buildings of New York. She was born in Brooklyn, but in her past she was known never to stay in one place long enough to get comfortable. That was just another case with New York, she knew she'd never actually spend any large amount of time here, so Priscilla decided to enjoy it while she could. Her long dark hair moved slightly in the gentle breeze off of the water, and she pulled her thin white shawl around her shoulders that she had previously placed on her lap.
"Never much to do 'round here by your lonesome." She muttered to herself, tugging at a lock of dark hair. She turned back to look out over the water and wait for the sun to set. After that she'd go back to her room at the hotel, maybe go dancing or something like that. There wasn't much she actually wanted to do by herself though, but after so much time waiting for Elvis, and by so much, a few weeks at the most. Yet after a few days it's not all it's cracked up to be, and she knew that Elvis was probably having so much fun, she didn't want to intrude, or find out that he was calling some other girl his sweetheart. Even if it wasn't his nature, she didn't want to risk discovering something like that just in case.
After a few moments of sitting, she heard the crunch of grass somewhere nearby. Shrugging it off, she looked at the surface of the water. It was New York, after all. There were probably lots of people who passed by this same spot, she wasn't about to pay it any mind.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style, background-color: #423c42;,true][cs=2] & YOU'RE NOT EVEN HUMAN ` YOU'RE JUST A LOVELY IDEA OF ONE WHO I ACCIDENTALLY LOVED AND GAVE EVERYTHING TO BECOME THE GIRL ON THE PIANO BENCH SINGING ALL OF HER TEARS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - away | [atrb=width,240] If there was one thing she was sure about when it came to life, it was that she was who she was- Quiet, thoughtful, temperamental, quick, under spoken, small. She knew all her faults and all her recompenses… every eye lash and every freckle. But, what she didn’t know, was other people. Norrietta Nove McKenna, the daughter of two class tree huggers, sister to a baseball loving brother, and a talented musician of a sister, knew only herself.
And perhaps this was something that she had brought upon herself… Her quiet nature left a small window open for friends or lovers. And her focus on all things work related left time short throughout her weeks. But she was lonesome more often than she was happy. Her days so packed into such few hours, she felt no way to fit people in…
5:00AM- up to feed Penny (Norry’s six month old Kitten) get dressed, and ready to be out that door by six.
6:00AM- coffee and a quick bite to eat and into the studio. Not late exceptions.
7:00AM- in the studio rehearsing, warming up, practicing, and performing.
1:00PM- Back at the house to wash up, check on Penny, and maybe relax for a while before making a trip to the store for food.
2:45PM- back home. Check house phone for messages from Airport, seeing if she received a call regarding her Flight Attendant position.
3:32PM- If none, gather painting supplies and head down to Central park for weekly relaxation. Art always did the trick with that.
Which was where she found herself now. Wandering the park, sketchbook in hand, letting her legs carry here where ever the wind blew. People past, some waved, others simply walked. But it all seemed so… wonderful. Just the cool evening breeze rippling like fingers through her ginger hair. Dress blowing gently, and a thin sigh leaving her lips. She was content here in New York; always had been.
Just the comfort of her Home town surroundings were enough to keep her happy. If only she could get over the feeling of not having anyone to enjoy it with. Her sister, Zippy, was gone to who-knows-where. Probably dead by now, who knew. And here was Norry; stuck in the same state she had been born it, actually happy about it. Zippy would have laughed her ass off.
Norry McKenna kept her head high as she moved, finally stopping just by a bench where a woman sat. She turned her blue eyes and gave the stranger a curt smile with sweet lips, trying to quietly let her know she was not here to bother her. At least she would try not too… Norry took a seat beside her, pulling the large pad of sketching paper onto her lap where she began her work. Head darting up and down from the page her hand and pencil worked fluidly over, and the scene before them. She hummed every once in awhile, and grumbled every other until shapes and lines began coming together to mirror the ripple of water, and gentle wave of the wind in the trees. That smile grew, and she laughed down at the image.
