► OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Ringo is a rather laid-back young man. When recording, he hardly ever gives his two cents on how he thinks a song should sound so when he does speak up they tend to take what he has to say seriously. He may be the oldest of the band but he's also the newest member so creating waves is the last thing he wants to do because he doesn't want to go the way of Pete Best.
When it comes to intelligence, he's not as bright as the other lads because he missed a lot of school, thanks to all of his illnesses he had growing up. But he did teach himself to read and write so he's not completely hopeless in that department. Ringo has a good sense of humor and is known malapropisms. He knows what he wants to say but sometimes the words just come out wrong; he can't help it.
During downtime during recording sessions, which he has a lot of, thanks to his not being needed as much as the other three Beatles, he spends his time reading comic books or having Neil Aspinall, one of their roadies, teach him how to play chess. But, even with his not so great voice, he does get the odd chance to sing his song and, while he's nowhere near as egotistical as some of the other blokes, he is proud of 'his' songs.

► HISTORY:
Richard Starkey Jr., was born on July 7, 1940 to Richard and Elsie Starkey. He was an only child. His parents, however, split up when he was only three-years-old. His mother soon remarried to Henry Graves, who was the man who ended up encouraging the young Richard's interest in music. He was plagued with a lot of illnesses that eventually caused him to drop out of school when he was thirteen because he was too far behind, thanks to all of his stays in the hospital.
It was in 1957 that he joined his first band: The Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group. Two years later, he joined the Raving Texans and adopted the stage name 'Ringo Starr' because he believed it sounded cowboy-ish. In 1960, the band was renamed Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. It was while they were performing in Hamburg that he met the Beatles for the first time. Ringo had the opportunity to sit in for Pete Best twice; once in late 1961 and another time in early 1962.
And when they removed Best from the group, Ringo became a full-fledged member of the Beatles. His first performance with them was in August 1962. The fans weren't happy about the change but there was nothing they could do about it. Quite naturally, Ringo wasn't accepted wholeheartedly at first. In September, they had a drummer session sit in for him because he was having trouble keeping the rhythm of the songs they had been working on. He may be the oldest member of the group but he's also the newest and just trying his hardest to fit in and do his best with the band.

► ROLE-PLAY EXAMPLE:
There were many, many perks to being the husband of a king. One of them happened to be that he could say or do anything that he pleased with the guests who came over and didn't have to worry about it because they would take his comments and actions quite gracefully. True, every now and then a grumpy guest would come along who wouldn't be happy in the least bit with Talbot but those occasions were rare and, when they did occur, Russell would make sure that they treated Talbot better the next time around or there never would be a next time around with the guest.
Thankfully, it appeared that Talbot wasn't going to have to deal with any grumpiness from either of these two Louisianan vampires. Mr. Northman at least seemed bent on kissing Talbot's behind. Talbot grinned at Eric's compliment. "I know he is," he said, shrugging it off like it was no big deal. He had that particular compliment too many times to count over the past few centuries. But sometimes Talbot wondered if Russell had ever gotten that memo...not that Talbot was going to even start thinking about his marital troubles right now. He had a task to do; and he was going to do the task to the best of his abilities, which were pretty darn good if he had to say so himself.
Pam de Beaufort. He should have remembered that! Not that it mattered because if she was Eric's child, Eric was then the one with all of the power--i.e., the one that mattered right now. He had clearly brought Pam along just for the ride and experience. And the compliments kept on coming from Eric. "No need to thank me," he said, "The pleasure is all mine." Once again, Talbot took the time to look Eric up and down not so subtly. He truly was a piece of eye candy and someone he hoped that Russell would have reasons to do plenty of business with in the future...as long as Eric didn't bring Pam with him each and every time.
Talbot could have almost totally ignored the fact that the woman vampire was there, until she finally did come forward and speak. No doubt, Eric had given her some lessons beforehand. Lessons or no lessons, Talbot was rather surprised with what came out of her mouth. "Really?" he inquired with raised eyebrows, "Because I wasn't quite sure if they would go all that well with my vest." Talbot then took the time to take a good look at Pam, not the kind of look he had given Eric but a look, nonetheless.
It was then that he realized that she seemed to know a lot about fashion as well. Fancy that! Then, Talbot looked down at her own shoes. "And your shoes are wonderful, Ms. de Beaufort." They did really look wonderful on her. Talbot almost was envious of some of the things that woman could get away with wearing. "And I apologize for the condition of the driveway," he added, as if he knew what Pam had been thinking on the walk to the front door, "I've told Russell over and over and over again that he needs to get it fixed but he keeps on insisting that there are more important things to worry about." Talbot scoffed at that. What could be more important than making sure the guests didn't get their shoes dirty because they were, no doubt, worried about what would happen to them if they brought even the tiniest particle of dirt with them into the King's mansion.
Talbot's manners as host then kicked back in. Pam wasn't the only one here right now. He couldn't forget about the tall blond one. "Would you like some refreshments?" he addressed to the both of them. Of course, the only refreshment they could have was blood but Talbot, in all his wisdom, had been able to devise quite a few dishes out of blood. Champagne, bisque, he was even trying out some recipes for hot soup. In short, he had learned how to make blood less boring...not to mention all of the humans of different nationalities that were always on hand as well, willing to donate their blood for the good of the vampires.
